And HOW does this Sandra woman suggest getting the brothers OUT of the villa? WHAT again was it that she would have done? HOW would she get them out??? Hmm-m-m. Armchair quarterbacking and 20/20 hindsighting this war is gettin' kinda OLD. If Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid vowed never to be captured, how if the WORLD do you, Sandra, ET AL, expect ANYONE to get these vicious guys out? GAS them? Tranquilize them? WHAT??????? or are you just making a buck blathering in print about it? See the following partial NYTimes blather....and Hey! I fully expect the Muslims to get plenty offended by the deaths (NOT murders, by the way), the photos (no head covering, tsk, tsk), etc., etc., etc., but I'm too tired of Arab anger to care anymore, and most of America is, too. I agree DEATH was too good for Uday and Qusay, but PEOPLE! These guys haven't co-operated with ANYTHING we've asked, wanted, demanded..whatever..... they WEREN'T coming out that door, SEE? Would you have been happier if 100 of our guys had died trying to "save" Saddam's boys lives????? Good grief.......let's be DONE with the pimply soulish angst, here! Save the owls, save the frogs, and SAVE UDAY & QUSAY!!!!!
Better Alive Than Dead
By SANDRA MACKEY
The killing of Saddam Hussein's sons, Uday and Qusay, is a tactical victory for the American occupation of Iraq. But it is not a strategic one. By not capturing these odious symbols of the old regime alive and putting them on display, the American occupation authority has denied itself the chance to give absolute proof of their demise to a society that rejects authority and thrives on conspiracy theory.

3 great comments from today's mullings.com
Imagine what life will be like in Democrat-land when the White House gets back on its feet (which, with the deaths of Saddam's two vicious and sadistic sons; plus continuing good economic news will probably begin today) and the American people remember why they liked President Bush in the first place.
Americans like the President because as Democratic consultant Brian Lunde said, "Once in a while, strong leadership and personal character traits can trump interest-group issues checklists."
Catholic University political scientist John Kenneth White put it another way: "It's values, stupid, and Democrats still don't get it."
