OK - Cain was furious because God rejected his offering and approved of Abel's...so he killed his brother to even the score. Ishmael was a wild man whose hand would always be against every man........Genesis 16:12 . Excuse me, but does this sound like today's headlines of blood-splatting revenge of the Muslims who now are planning a protest in D.C. WITH the anti-warriors to sound off about how mistreated they (still) are!?!?!?!
Also, I for one, am furious with the BBC who is accusing that the brave rescue of POW Lynch was a staged photo-op! Our son's good friend is married to one of the Rangers from Fort Stewart, GA. who WENT IN AFTER Pvt.Lynch! I'll bet HE has a different take than the BBC!!! Are you going to believe a soldier's eye-witness report, or what the anti-war BBC has to spew??????

So, d'ya see THIS???
Photo Highlight James Keen, a 19-year-old from Scottsville, Ky., shows off his spilt tongue at his home Wednesday, May 7, 2003. James got his tongue split in December by a piercer after a surgeon declined to do it for him. He says the piercer used a scalpel heated by a blow torch and no anesthetic. Some say the practice, still relatively uncommon but edging up in popularity, is nothing short of mutilation. Lawmakers in Illinois are considering regulations that would all but outlaw it. (AP Photo/Joe Imel) Tue May 13, 2:54 PM ET
OK, next they will be removing half -a-tongue and serving it as a gourmet meal reported all over the world as the latest thing for the bored and rebellious. Oh, did I give you an idea??? NOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!!!!

ALERT!!! 7 foot alligator caught cattycornered from our HOUSE! Neighbors wondered if he (probably a she looking for a place to lay eggs) came from our dark (tannic acid from those famous GA pines) pond 20 feet from our dining room! No, but two alligator turtles have gobbled up 7 of our 8 three-week-old ducklings. Anyhow, DNR came out Friday night and had a devil of a time capturing the huge 'gator.

My heart sank when I read about Derek Jeter's "rehab" before returning to play with the Yankees again. I was SOOO relieved to realize it was a left shoulder injury and NOT drugs, sex, Mafia, whatever! He's always seemed so wholesome.

Recently learned: the ABC song, Baa Baa, Black Sheep, and Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star all have the same tune. Did you know that?

Yea! Best of the Web printed what I was looking for! You're just like who you criticize, Sen Byrd, Sir. (From Romans 2 in the Bible - He who judges, practices the same thing.) Here's the evidence; I'm trying not to be too gleeful.
********** ************ *********** ***************
It's a Byrd! It's a Plane! It's an Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing!
Craig Bozman of Rockville, Md., in a letter to the editor of the Washington Post, lists some of the government facilities in West Virginia that are named for the state's (and the nation's) senior senator:

The Robert C. Byrd Highway; the Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam; the Robert C. Byrd Institute; the Robert C. Byrd Life Long Learning Center; the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program; the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope; the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing; the Robert C. Byrd Federal Courthouse; the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center; the Robert C. Byrd Academic and Technology Center; the Robert C. Byrd United Technical Center; the Robert C. Byrd Federal Building; the Robert C. Byrd Drive; the Robert C. Byrd Hilltop Office Complex; the Robert C. Byrd Library; the Robert C. Byrd Learning Resource Center; and the Robert C. Byrd Rural Health Center.

Last week Byrd accused President Bush of "flamboyant showmanship" after the president gave a speech on the USS Robert C.--whoops, make that the USS Abraham Lincoln.

I'm still agravated by the Dem's uproar over President Bush's "Abe-landing." Please check out
http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq49-1.htm for a list since the 1800's of presidents' landings, which disprove all the accusations against our President about his coming aboard (and encouraging the troops, by the way...THEY said!) These may not be spiritual findings, but they SURE keep us grounded when folks like 85 -year-old Senator Byrd schreech, "Unfair! Unworthy!! Unnecessary Spending!!!" and the like! Last year I saw a list of "pork" dollars spent for stuff named for the august Senator over the years in West Virginia; it was plum emabrassing! Wish I had saved it! By the way, a nod to http://poorandstupid.com/chronicle.asp for the Navy history site.
From l'il ol' me to Sen Byrd on Thursday:
Sir, Thank you for your service to America, but you were WAY out of line
criticizing President Bush's visit to the carrier. The sailors LOVED it
and were made to feel very special; they SAID so. Most of us in America
are TIRED of the ubiquitous headlines: Dems criticize.
Thank you,
Diana Smith Highsmith
